Note: the current version of amrap.org.au launched in 2020. If you are returning to the website for the first time since then, you’ll need to create a new account. If you have existing releases on the site, get in touch via amrap@cbaa.org.au and we'll connect them to your new account and profile.

Navigate to “Upload Music” in the top right-hand corner of the site navigation.

Select the appropriate Artist Profile within your account. You’ll also have the option to select a ‘Featured’ artist alongside the main performer.

If there is no featured artist, leave the field blank – this won’t affect your submission process.

Upload the release cover art. The image must be at least 1500x1500 pixels.

Include the release name.

Select the release date:

  • This is the date you want the release to be public on amrap.org.au.
  • Please note, processing your release generally takes 7 business days. Please also consider public holidays and the typical Christmas holiday period when the AMRAP office is closed.
  • If you’re uploading a release that has been released after you uipload, the release will automatically collate itself into the site’s internal calendar.
  • For example, a release that came out in March that is being submitted in December will appear alongside the March releases when approved and not at the top of the new releases tab.
  • If the release is over 12 months old, it is ineligible for inclusion on AMRAP.

Include appropriate information (300 words max) for broadcasters and presenters to give their audience more information about artists and their releases (making sure to include only text and no links, as you will not be able to proceed).

Check spelling and grammar. Ensure your grammar spacing is correct, or the site may believe a kink has been added and you cannot proceed to the submissions field. The box will turn red if this happens.

Include a record label in the Record Label field if appropriate (this can be left blank for wholly independent artists).

If you select your artist name as the label, the submission will be rejected.

Select up to four genres for your track. This helps presenters of relevant programs discover your music. Options include:

Alternative / Blues / Christian / Children’s / Classical / Comedy / Country / Dance / Easy Listening / Electronic / Experimental / Folk / Garage / Hip-Hop / Indie / Instrumental / Jazz / Metal / Modern Composition / Pop / Psych / Punk / R&B / Reggae / Rock / Roots / Soul / World.

Click 'Next Step'.

Drag and drop your .WAV file/s into the submissions field Once the upload/s have been completed (the status bar should be green), continue to Next Step'. To keep a standard of quality across the board, AMRAP will only accept .WAV files. Any other file type will not be accepted.
Remove any punctuation characters in your file names, as it may cause errors further along the process.

If your release contains more than one track, double-check that the tracks are in the correct order.

Please ensure to edit track names to how they should appear on the site i.e.

  • How To Make Gravynot 01_How_To_Make_Gravy_mastered.WAV.

The next screen allows users to update appropriate metadata for their release:

  • If required, mark the track as including explicit content
  • Select the appropriate Artist/Composer account to link to the track
  • Add in any featured or contributing artist profiles
  • Offer some text copy about individual tracks within your release to presenters (50 words max)
  • If you’re uploading a multiple track release, you can select a “focus track”, so presenters will know which track from your release to focus on

Note that we do not require International Standard Recording Codes (ISRCs).

You will also receive an automated email through every step of the process - upload success, upload processed and release published. Please keep in mind that due to the vast number of tracks that are uploaded, it takes 7 business days for a song to be processed for publication on the site.  Upload early to avoid disappointment.
